Last day in Guangzhou

We got Evie's visa today, so we can leave the country! I can't believe this is our last full day in Guangzhou. In some ways it seems like we just got here and it's sad to go. But it also seems like forever since we have been home and are ready to be there! God has been so good to us and has certainly blessed us beyond what we could imagine. He has given us a precious new daughter. He has helped us through good times and bad. It's hard to imagine going through any part of life without the hope of Jesus in our lives, especially something like this trip that has been so challenging at times. Evie (actually we more often call her Lu Lu) has changed so much since we have had her. It's been incredible to watch all the new things she does or tries every day. Today we went to a mall to shop. Jenny led a group of 17 of us there and back on the subway. That is quite a feat! There are so many people around everywhere that it was hard to keep track of everyone! We had to say goodbye to our sweet Jenny today. That was very sad. :( Now we have the monumental task of packing up our bags to head to Hong Kong in the morning. We will stay in Hong Kong for 2 nights so we can explore there a little bit. Then we will fly home on Saturday!!

Lu Lu rocks the metro now!
The amount of pushing required to get on the subway is insane!
She's checking to make sure everything is right on her passport! :)

The mall filled with any trinket you could ever want.

The streets by the mall were sooo busy!!

Evie rides in a stroller now! She has come so far in a week! She has overcome a lot of fears.

Of course she is going to like chicken nuggets and french fries, she's becoming American!

We had to say goodbye to our sweet friend Jenny. We will miss her so much!

And we will miss the friends we made here...

Matt found an eating buddy!
