Today after breakfast we took the metro to Shamian Island. Taking the metro was an adventure in itself! We had Jenny to guide us along which made it easy. It's amazing how many people that can crowd into the subway. Shamian is a beautiful island where lots of adoptive families go to shop. We started off by going to a church service there. They spoke and sang in both Mandarin and English. It was a cool experience but we didn't end up staying very long. Evie got to be too loud to stay in there so then we decided to walk around the island. We ate lunch at Lucy's, which is a place where every American goes because they serve American food. Then we went to a couple shops and headed back home on the metro. Sounds like an easy enough day, but what I have realized that with four kids in this environment that is quite an accomplishment! Evie did great and was happy the entire time! We even got a couple kisses today!! 😗😍
